Rabi has been playing table tennis since 1973 first in India and then in Australia since 1982.

He joined the BTTA committee in 2020 and is also a keen volunteer for Saturday afternoon sessions and the Saturday social competition.

He has played table tennis in Adelaide, Ballarat, Hobart, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba before coming to Brisbane in 2018, where he previously played for a few weeks in 1989.

Rabi has worked as a university academic all his life until recent retirement. When he is not playing table tennis, he is following other sports and playing guitar, cooking or gardening.
