A Half-Century of Dedication
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the sport of Table Tennis, and table tennis wouldn’t be possible without the diligent work of our volunteers – the passionate army of officials, administrators, parents, fundraisers and supporters who seek to mobilise and advance the game every day.
Mick McShane, Brisbane Table Tennis Association (BTTA) Life Member was recently awarded for 50 years of service to table tennis by Table Tennis Australia (TTA). See right a photograph of Mick with his award.
This award recognises outstanding long-term/sustained volunteer service to the sport of table tennis by an individual, for the benefit of the sport & wider community.
During their years of service, the nominee will have demonstrated.-
A significant, sustainable & beneficial impact on the shape and direction of table tennis in their community or further afield.
This positive impact & achievements should be felt by external organisations, clubs/ associations, participants and volunteers alike.
NOTE: Service to table tennis can be defined as being a player, coach, official, administrator, and/or any necessary role undertaken in a volunteer capacity.
