Well done too to all the Brisbane club members who represented their State.
This is an achievement in itself!
Special mention goes to Ella Yu who claimed the title of National Age Champion.
Ella has only been playing Table Tennis for a couple years.
But under the tutelage of Coach Peter Lander, Ella progressed from 3rd in Queensland at the recent State Tiles to win the gold medal for the Under 13 girls at the Nationals.
Ella has really dedicated herself to her training in recent months.
She participated in the National Hopes program in Melbourne and competed in the Sydney Tour. As well as many other training camps.
Her hard work paid off.
Now, in 2022, she has claimed the national age champion for her age group. Ella was also named as the number 1 in the national Order of merit for under 13 girls'.
As well as Brisbane Club members representing as athletes at the Nationals, we also had local Frank Chen volunteer as an umpire.
