The winner of the Veteran Female of the Year award has been announced.
Sporting talent and commitment have been recognised across the State with... [ DRUM-ROLL] Brisbane's Clare Owen named as the winner.
Yep, Clare is the Female Veteran Player of the Year again!!
So she has been named player of the year in 2021 and 2020.
Following a successful year in 2020, Clare has again done it in 2021.
She was the 050 Singles Champion at the State Vets Tournament.
And also collected a slew of other medals.
Congratulations Clare!
Clare competed in the number of events in 2020 despite the changes to the tournament calendar.
She capped off a very successful year at the 2020 Queensland Veterans
Championships in Townsville by claiming a swag of medals.
This included medals in a variety of events including the teams, singles & doubles.
Clare also recently shone at the World Veterans Championships playing in Las Vegas in 2018.
In fact, I reckon that Clare has collected so many trophies and medals across her Table Tennis career, she's going to need a bigger pool room!
;-)
Clare is a regular participant in the Brisbane Table Tennis Monday night fixtures.
