BTTA Community Update & 2025 Wrap-Up

Dear BTTA Community,

As we reach the end of 2025, we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors this year. It has been an absolutely incredible year of growth for BTTA, and we are energised and motivated to ride this momentum to even bigger heights next year. You have helped make the club a vibrant place to play and the buzz we’ve created together is undeniable. We see it as our responsibility to grow our amazing sport in Queensland, building on the decades of volunteerism that has given us the opportunities we share today.

There is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes, and it would be impossible to acknowledge everyone, but our culture of working together for the growth of table tennis is infectious, and the spirit that greets you when you walk through our doors is what turns BTTA from a sport to a true community. Thank you so much for being a part of it.

We feel like we’re only scratching the surface of what this club can achieve, and as we continue to professionalise and sustainably scale what’s possible inside and outside these 4 walls, as a not-for-profit organisation we will continue to put the sport of table tennis and all the club members as the number 1 priority, while working hand-in-hand with clubs across Queensland to achieve our mission.

As we prepare for a massive 2026, we have several important operational updates, pricing changes, and schedule adjustments to share with you.

New Membership Model

Table Tennis Australia (TTA) has released their new membership model. To ensure our compliance and insurance obligations for player safety, we will require all regular players to become a club member.

2026 Membership Rates
– Fun & Fan: $0 (Occasional non-organised play & access to mailing list).
– Social Membership: $50 (Regular players, access to discounted rates, prepaid cards, insurance).
– Competition Membership: $130 (Required to play interclub tournaments and fixtures. Access to social membership benefits + 5% off Pro Shop).
– Concession Competition Membership: $120 ($10 discount for juniors aged 19 or under, full time students, pensioners and health care card holders).
– National Membership (Junior, Senior & Paras representing QLD): Enquire within.

We will be taking a short break over the festive period, though we will keep the doors open for casual play at specific times.

High Intensity Junior Coaching – $50 per day for 3 hour session
Suitable for all levels!
10AM – 1PM on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 and January 2

We will reopen into our regular trading hours from Monday 5th January.

New Operating Hours for 2026

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our access in 2026 from Monday 5th January.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
Saturday: 10AM to 5PM
Sunday: 2PM to 5PM

Opening over 70 hours each week, our all-day access is designed to give our members more flexibility to hit the courts whenever it suits their schedule.

2026 Social Play

Social Play remains thriving at BTTA and in 2026 it is positioned to grow even bigger with our extended opening hours.

Prices during our opening hours are:
– Casual Session: $15 per person ($20 for non-members)
– 10 Prepaid Pack: $135 ($13.5 per session, only available to members)
– 20 Prepaid Pack: $250 ($12.5 per session, only available to members)

We have exclusive bundle packages for players coming for social play during ‘off-peak’ times.

MONDAY – FRIDAY: 9AM to 3:30PM (including Tues/Thurs Morning Social Doubles)
SATURDAY: 11:30AM to 2:00PM
SUNDAY: 2:00PM to 5:00PM

1 DAY PER WEEK: $650 per year (~$12 per session)
2 DAYS PER WEEK: $899 per year (~$8.50 per session)
Unlimited: $1100 per year (As low as $3 per session!)

All bundles include $50 Social Membership. Players can upgrade to a Competition Membership and pay the gap fee if they wish.

A legacy rate will be available for players who purchased a social play bundle in 2025, at $530 / $730 / $890 respectively.

A direct debit option for these bundles is available upon request for an extra $1 per fortnight on the usual cost, allowing you to pause your subscription if needed and spread out your cost outlay throughout the year.

Adult Group Coaching

We are streamlining our adult coaching program for 2026. Both Beginner and Intermediate sessions will now run simultaneously, allowing for a great community atmosphere and progression.

When: Thursdays, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM, starting from January 8th
Groups:
- Adult Beginners: Rating <500
- Adult Intermediate: Rating 500 – 1200
Cost:
- Casual: $30 per single session
- 10-Pack: $250 (Prepaid) — Save $50!

We will be organising expressions of interest for a High-Performance Adult Coaching group in 2026 for players who are a rating of 1200+. Please reach out to Gio or Vinnie.
