School Students Play Table Tennis
Sign on your school team for this year's "Table Tennis Schools Event!".
They'll be teams in:
- Gold Coast
- And a State Final, in Brisbane.
Table tennis offers students the chance to participate in a fun environment while learning useful sporting skills.
School students are welcome to play at the Windsor Table Tennis Centre or if your school has Table Tennis tables on campus we can come to you.
We can help schools of all sizes, from one class of 20 students to the entire school cohort.
If the students come to the Table Tennis Centre we have provided rental table tennis bats and balls included in the hire fee. Teachers play for free of charge.
The Brisbane Table Tennis Centre is located at Green Tce, Windsor and is available for school groups most week-day afternoons.
The Brisbane region schools competition will be held at the Brisbane Table Tennis Centre on 20th August 2020.
Then on 17th September all the regional first runner-up and winning teams from Bundaberg region, Cairns region, Toowoomba region, Rockhampton region, Townsville region, Mackay region and Gold Coast region and of course the locals will play in Brisbane to be crowned the state winners.
The Table Tennis Schools championships are open to all students from across the State of Queensland. Students from State schools, independent schools, religious school and even home schooled students are eligible to enter.
There are three divisions:
* Open (male and female) 18 years old or under - players born in 2003 or later
* Junior (male and female) 15 years old or under -- players born in 2006 or later
* Hopes (mail and female) 12 years old or under - players born in 2009 or later
The event will kick off at 8.30am with registionration and welcome. Competition will start by 9am. Then at 2.45pm there will be a presentation for the bronze, silver and gold medal winners.
Players should where their school's official sports uniform.
The cost to enter the each event at the schools championship is $40 per team (incl GST). Each team needs to consist of 2 players (single gender). Students must be form teh same school - no composite teams. School may enter more than one team in each event.
In 2019 sisters Keira and Tamika form San Sisto College, and Brisbane Table Tennis club members
took out the open female State gold. Can they do it again?

School Table Tennis Competition
Once a year (usually in May) Table Tennis Queensland hosts a school's Table Tennis competition. Students compete for their school in several regional play-offs and then play a State Final.
